The first month of the year is a clean slate. 2016 will hold so many wonderful memories for our family -- it'll be the first year we have as a complete family of four! (plus Weezy, of course...)
Goals and objectives?
1. Take some sort of trip, whether it's just a weekend away for Ry and I, or a little day trip with the babies.
2. Swimming lessons for both little ones (check! already started!)
3. Shoot a beautiful wedding season (counting down the months already).
4. Finish the fireplace makeover in the living room.
5. Spend lots of time outside this Summer!
6. Throw two beautiful birthday parties <3

Sweet little Jillian started developing a personality this month.
Her bathing suit just KILLS me.
Prepping for the luxury wedding show, Engage, that'll be held on Valentine's Day at the Chateau Laurier. I'm crazy excited to be involved :) It was so fun to send out some of these tickets to a few brides-to-be.
Okay so the Simplicity Challenge is something new for January. 30 days of little tasks that totally change your day-to-day life. I've been trying to keep up with all of them, switching around the order to make sure I'm making the most of my days when Cooper is in school.
I honestly think the biggest change was Day 2. Setting my alarm and waking up before the kids has allowed me to do a little something to my hair, sometimes put on a bit of makeup, and get the morning started in a productive way.
Let this photo act as a little "before" image for Cooper's big boy haircut that happened later in the month. He makes such a mess of my desk but I love him anyway.
Post haircut, all smiles.
Picking up the first draft of my Engage handouts!
This is a lovely lavender blanket that I made for Jillian. It's actually HUGE (this photo was taken when I first started it) and she loves it in her carseat.
This photo is proof that I sometimes get the iron out... I'm actually terrible at laundry/ironing, so this was a major win.
First photo of Jillian with her pierced ears!! <3
This month's read. It's SO LONG you guys. I have a week left to finish it. Stress.
AHH I love this photo!! This is the day that baby Gia was born!! I waited in the hospital while Loraleah had her c-section, and met her in the recovery room with my camera to take a few photos for her. I will never, EVER forget Bob finding me in the waiting room and telling me that the baby was a girl. I cried! I am so incredibly happy for Loraleah!! Having a girl is the best thing ever <3
A little gift for Baby Gia <3
A photo from bubs' second swimming lesson, right after his very first jump into Ry's arms! Cooper is a very cautious little boy. He weighs his options, thinks about the potential risk, and then makes his move. I was so proud when he leapt off the edge!
Then there's Jilly in her bathing housecoat. And I'm dead.
From a coffee date with Kimberly <3 Loving the Quitters lifestyle.
Okay this stamp is amazing. I love seeing what my clients do with their wedding photos!
New photos in the barre studio! It feels like FOREVER since we did that first shoot. Looking very much forward to the second shoot with the Dailey Method family.
Final draft of the Engage handouts, yay! These babies have my pricing info on the back and hopefully reflect my style and my love for photographing happy people <3
I'm getting super excited for the workshop that's coming up in a few weeks!
I have to end this post with a Jilly photo, because...well...she's wearing a fuzzy snowsuit with ears. Happy end of January!!
